NO SATURDAY WORK
AUSTRALIAN WORKERS NOT.. UNANIMOUS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright (Reoehed September 2, 9 p.m.; SYDNEY, September 2. The ironworkers' assistants and the electrical trades and mouldera' unions have decided not to support the engineers in refusing to work on Saturdays. A previous message stated:—The Amalgamated Society of Engineers and the Moulders, Boilermakers, and Iron Trades Assistants' Union have, decided, commencing on Saturday next, to refuse to work on Saturdays. Ten thousand employees will be affected. The decision applies to the works at Mort's Dock, Cockatoo and Garden: Islands, arid the Clyde works, in addition to private shops.
