.. ... '■ ■- ' POLICE AND CIVIL CASES. Magisterial business was dealt with yesterday by Mr J. S. Evans, S.M.. who occupied the bench. A number oi first offenders for insobriety were disr posed of in the usual manner. Patrick Smith, who was prevjouslj before the court for being idle and disorderly and having insufficient lawful . means' of support, appeared after having been remanded for one week for medical observation. Tbo circumstances were that accused had been found at 1.30 a.m. odi tho enclosed promises of the Catholic Church on August 22nd. The man was convicted and discharged on condition that he went away and found work. CIVIL CASES. Sir J. S. Moore. 19s 10d, costs 6s; Equitable . Building, Ltd.. v. Jacob Mischewski, .£49 10s Bd, edsts £A 4s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONS. Francis Hunt is to pay John Eontloy .£ll 7s 3d by instalments of £2 per week.
