JFraser asked what arrangements had been made, for the balloting of the next houses to be completed. Had every applicant the- same j chance in tho ballot? ; ■ j

Councillor Wright stated that no discrimination was made. Councillor Fraser drew . attention tt, the fact that in tho last ballot preference had been allowed to tho unsuccessful applicants in successive.ballots. E\ thought that every applicant should be gjven an equal chance. Councillor Wright: I am not in favour <»f giving the houses to anyone who comes'along. There may be'something about an that may make him a bad purchaser for the council: ' Tho Mayor remarked that the council mu6t guard against eertaiti people getting a vested interest ,in the - houses.
