MINISTER'S REFUSAL. A demand that retrospection of all allowances and pay be mad© by the Government to soldiers of all ranks, so as to bring about a uniform standard for the whole war period, was embodied in a remit passed at the last annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association and forwarded to the Minister for Defence.
