MOUNTAIN FILM DRAMA
CINEMA STAR CRASHES DOWN A SLOPS. PARIS, May 23. According to a special cable from Los Angeles to the "Chicago Tribune" (Paris edition) W. S. Hart, til's cinema star, was seriously injured while acting for a film yesterday. The scene required Hart to chase another man. (Both. Were mounted on horses. A .pebble lodued in one of the hoofs of Hart's horse and frightened the animal. The horse swerved, and Harts head struct a branch of a tree The actor was rendered unconscious, and fell from the horse, which slid down a mountain side.
Hart, rolling down after it, crashed against a boulder, but was rescued by a number of camera men. The doctors called fear that Hart is suffering from concussion of the brain. In any case it will be several months before he can act again.
