AND THE ORPHANS’ CLUB. On the eve of his departure from New Zealand, hfter the expiration of his term of office as Governor-General, His Excellency Lord Liverpool, as patron of the club, presented the Wellington Orphans’ Club with a handsome inscribed plate to be attached to the chairman's chair of office. , The plate bears the inscription: “His Excellency the Earl of Liverpool; patron, 1913-1919.” His Excellency has also presented to the club a fine photograph of himself. The Earl of Liverpool has always taken a very keen interest in the club, and has quite endeared him self, to the members.
