RESULTS OF SENIOR CONTESTS. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Times.") MASTERTON, July 3. The Wairarapa Rugby Union's championship matches were continued this afternoon in. fine weather. The senior games provid-ed some i'arrlr good tootball and resulted as follow: MASTERTON v. CARTERTON/ At Carterton the Masterton and Gladstone seniors met before a large crowd of spectators, and an interesting game was won by Masterton by 13 points to 3. When the teams met earlier in the season, at Masterton, tho Masterton team won by 7 points to nil, and 'in the match to-day Masterton maintained its claim to being the superior combination. CARTERTON v. LIBERAL. The Carterton and Liberal seniors played a'strenuous game at Fea therston, the former eventually'■• winning ■ by" 12 points to 9. Though Carterton is leading for the senior championship there are two other teams (Red Star and Masterton) still in the running. A DRAWN GAME BAY OF PLENTY AND WANGANUI. PEE TRESS ASSOCIATION. WANGANUI, July 3. The representative match between the Bay of Plenty touring team and Wanganui, was played to-day m fine weather and in the presence of a large attendance. The game ended in a diraw, neither side scoring. If anything Wanganui had the better of the play. RUGBY AT CHRISTCHURCH ( MARISTS MAINTAIN UNBEATEN RECTJRTX FEB TRESS ASSOCIATION.
