BIG REGATTA.ON THE CLYDE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. v> (Received July 4, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 3. _ The _ biggest yachting event in Britain since 1914 commenced to-day on the Clyde. The King will attend twice, and his yacht Britannia is competing on each of the nine days. KING ■\YATOHES~HIS YACHT BEATEN. (Received July 4, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, July 3. The King and Queen and Princess Mary received an ovation on arrival 3/fc Edinburgh on a fortnight's tour of Scotland, the Isle of Man, and \Yales. The King witnessed tho Clyde regatta, in which his yacht Britannia, after a bad sta.rt from scratch, secured and maintained tho lead to the home turn, when the breeze failed, enabling the light weather boat Nyria to beat her.
