THE MANDATES STATEMENT IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright Keuter’s Telegram. LONDON, June 30. Captain Ormsby-Gore asked in the House of Commons whether the on. force mont of the mandatory conditions in the ex-German colonies and the mandated ex-Turkish territories would bo delayed until the Council of the League of Nations had approved tho specific terms of each mandate. Mi- Bonar Law said that tho mandates regarding tho former German territories in- Africa and the Pacific were being drafted for consideration by the Supreme Council. He hoped the mandates would be approved at the Spa. Conference and would be sub. mitted to the League of Nations shortly afterwards. BRITISH DELEGATES MEET. LONDON, June 30. The British Empire delegation to the Spa Conference met at Downing Street to consider matters prior t° the conference- Sir James Allen was present.« . REPATRIATION PAYMENTS. FRENCH CRITICISM OF BRITISH CALCULATION. PARIS- July 1. The “Matin” criticises Mr Lloyd George’s supposed method of calculating the distribution of tho reparation payments. It is believed that Mr Lloyd George bases his calculation on the number of lives lost by the various countries in the war, on which basis, France and Britain would receive reparations in the proportions of 11 to 5. The “Matin” protests that this does not provide compensation for the devastated northern regions of France. GERMANY AND THE “SECURITY POLICE.” Reuter’s Telegram. BERLIN, July 1. Herr Severing, Prussian Minister for the Interior, has informed the Foreign Office that he will refuse to disband the “security police,” though he is willing that Entente officers should supervise their employment and equipment. 'Herr Wirth, the new Finance Minister, estimates the total debt of Germany at 265,000 million marks.
