ARRESTS BY BRITISH AT MOTTDANIA.

Constantinople messages report that a powerful British squadron visited Moudania on June 25th, landed a party of marines, and arrested sever al Nationalist leaders, including the harbour commandant, and the governor. The small garrison fled on sight of the warships. A proclamation was read stating that the punitive action was due to broaches of the armistice and the offensive attitude towards British officers. Constantinople reports state that the Sultan has, received news that tho Turks captured Porgama, 53_ miles north of Smyrna, taking prisoner several thousand „Gree£s.' No confirmation has been received, but there has been no Greek communique issued for two days.
