PUBLIC SERVICE DINNER
AN ENJOYABLE EVENING. Last evening the executive committee of the Public Service Association entertained at dinner the delegates who are attending the annual conference. The function was held at Aston House, WilK lis street, whore Mr W. M. Wright, president of the association, presided over a full attendance. At tho conclusion of tho repast the following toasts wore duly honoured and responded to:—The King; "Visiting Delegates,” proposed by the chairman and responded to by Messrs White, Jordon and Hulme;' “Public Service Association,” proposed by Mr Spence, replied to by Mr Jerram; “The Ladies, (Mr Burgess), replied to by Mies Trevethick; "The Executive" (Mr Eobteson). responded to bv Mr ModUne, . Vocal and instrumental items were given by a number of gentlemen, whoso efforts were highly appreciated and loudIv applauded. , to Mr Goudie and Mr Furlong were responsible in a large measure for the success of tho evenin'”, through their efficient organisation.
