At the tallow sales ICS9 casks were offered, and 220 sold. Fine mutton brought 76s 6d per cut. medium 655, fine beef 755, medium 645. LONDON TALLOW MARKET. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office under date June 30th: —"There is only a limited demand for tallow, good mixed £3 10s. gut A 3 25." AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE. SALE AT TE HORO/ Ono of tho most successful sales held tn this district for some time (writes the "Times” Otaki correspondent) was the one at Te Horo, when stock and sundry articles realised tip-top prices. Hoggets fetched 275, while sugar ran as high as 6d per lb and tea 4s to ss. Buyers were present from all parts of the district and tompetition 'was keen. PROPERTY SALES. H. Ernest Leighton reports that, at tho ■auction sale held hy him in the Chamber of Commerce yesterday; under instructions from the Public Trustee, there was a large attendance, and the bidding was spirited. Two acres 3 roods 9 perches of level land adjoining tho Bellevue Gardens, in the A. R. V. Lodder estate, were sold to Air F. Cooper, at A 1525. A small farm of 4 acres 2 roods 12 perches, at Johnsonville, in the B. Garriock estate, was sold to Mr Wood, at A 920. The section at Khandallah; tho property known as No. 8, Baden street, Kilbirnie, and the cottage in Florence street, Newtown, not reaching the reserve, are now in tho auctioneer’s hands for private sale. ~~ CUSTOMS RETURNS. BIG INCREASE FOB JUNE. Tho Customs returns collected at the Port of Wellington during the month of June show a very big increase over the figures for tho corresponding period last year.
