TRAMWAYMEN'S DEMANDS
STILL NO 'SETTLEMENT. A conference was held at the Town Hall last evening between representatives of the .Wellington Tramways Employees' Union and members of the City Council for the purpose of discussing the union's claims in regard to wages and general working conditions. After a prolonged discussion tho union's representatives intimated that they were unable to accept the offer made by the council in regard to wages.
