PROFITEERING CHARGE
AGAINST RAILWAY DEPARTMENT. Members of the Perfaone Borough Council stated at last evening's meeting of that body- that for tho coal the Railway Department had sold .. the council thev had been charged 18s 9d above a. fair profit. On the motion of Councillor, W. Cox, it was resolved: "That this council write to the Board of Trade stating 'that we think this is a case of profiteering by_ the Railway Departs mont, and asking tho board to inquire into it."
