Sir .Tames Allen, when asked by a reporter in Christchurch if he would state lor publication what plans he contemplated fqr the reorganisation of the High Commissioner's office, replied that lie could not do so,, seeing that he has not yet taken up the .duties -of- High Commissioner.- With reference to the suggestion that" there should bo periodical interchanges' ol the officials in the High Commissioner's office witii officers from the Dominion, Sir James said that the suggestion was an old one, and one that he had favoured strongly when he was if London in 1913. • "/
