OLYMPIC HARRIER CLUB
A PEELDfINARY BUN. The unofficial opening run of the Olympic Harrier and A. A. Club took place from Girff Kiosk, Island Bay, on Saturday. Although tho -weather was threatening, ruin held off, and tho course, which led round tho road to Lyall Bay and back itKiiin, was covered at a very fair pace. There was a good muster of new members, and, in the opinion of tho older members, they showed up remarkably well. ' At the close of the run the members at the invitation of Mr A. Davies (vice-president of tho club) sat down to an enjoyable afternoon tea. During the afternoon Mi' W. H. Fhilp (president) expressed tho hope that the members would turn out in full force for the official opening of the season the follow-in? Saturday. Thanks wore also expressed 1 to the proprietress of the kiosk for her help in the matter of accommodation, .etc.
