Distress among Australian discharged lioldiers who aro awaiting return passages is becoming acute, and a number- of men. are on the verge of starvation. Tho Anzac Buffet Fund is unable to do nioro than give a small dole to many of the discharged men, who are averse to accepting charity in view of tho fact that they are entitled to their gratuity.
