''Pussyfoot" Johnson is returning to America. Interviewed by tho "Daily Chron« icle,'' he .said ho was going back to tell tho ''soft-pedal vcU" ' that thero had been a big slido in public opinion towards prohibition, widened by tho panic in the liquor organisations, which were (.ponding enormous sums o! money, most of which was wasted m organised rough-house work at prohibition meetings. Also, it had dono liquor a lot of harm. "Among my converts,'' ho said, "aro English titled folk, members of tho House of Commons, representatives of tho biggest trade corporations, and also, tho great and growing secret army of men and women who are moderato drinkers, but who would voto for prohibition if put to the test."
