Tho special courses for soldiers' are attended by the following numbers: —Motor engijieeriag, 17; commercial classes, 14; Clyde quay classes for Public Service, .about SU. "The numbers in the • Technical High School (added .. tho director) are leca than last year, tho decrease beine; mainly on the commercial side; but a pleasing feature of tho entry is the large number of senior pupils who have returned. In the evening school tho trade classes are generally good, tho electrical engineering and.plumbing being particularly so. Tho classes for roturned soldiers are well attend, ed, and I consider that highly satisfactory work is being dono. The class for students in motor mechanics is hampered for want of room, but the students have overy opportunity for getting a thoroughly practical training. A good proportion of the students at tho Clyde quay eoldiers' classes are working hard with a. view to tho Public Service examination to be held at the end of June, and the numbers have bo increased that it has been necessary to form a second book-keeping class and to appoint on assistant in shorthand." The report was adopted. Other mutters referred to in the re, port and tho director's annual report havo already been detailed in tho "Times,'!
