PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB.
Keen interest is- being shown in. the first race for tho Turnbull Cup, to bo sailed this afternoon.
Arrangements have been .completed for the comfortable accommodation of tho sightseers on tho Duchess. The following aro tho entries and handicaps, Handicaps (in minutes) for light, moderate, and heavy winds aro quoted in that order after tho yacht’s name—.Waitangi, scr, scr, scr; Maxangi, 4, 11, 15; Eona, 6, 11, 15; Kotiri II. < 8, .13, 16; Ailsa;'l3, 'l7,- 20; Atalanta, 15, 19, 23; Wairera 11., 16, 17, IS; Wanderer, 18, 16, 16; Viola, 20, 25. 32.
All the yachts will start together at 8 p.m. off Clyde quay wharf, the course being, in a northerly, ontsido Jeraingham huoy, Pinnacle buoy, (off Scatoim), Koro Koro, Jerningham, and back to starting lino; in a southerly, from Clyde quay wharf, inside Jorningham buoy, Koro Koro, Pinnacle, Jerninghnxn, and ,hack to starting line: Handicaps will bo adjusted to tho ■finishing times.
