Tho High Commissioner for Now Zealand is on the committee. "More than ono Prime Minister of Australia has loomed largo in British public life" (says the "British Australasian"). "Sir George l««d was an institution here, Mr Hughes was an earthquake; and Mr Dcakin was, it appears, offered (in reversion) the biggest position in Parliament next, to that of the Prime Minister—namely, Loader of the Unionist party.''
