POLO TOURNAMENT
HA WEE'S BAY WINS SAVILLE CUP. rju TRESS ASSOCIATION. HASTINGS, March 16. Matches at the polo tournament were commenced to-day in hot, dusty weather. Umvke's Hay A met Poverty Bay in the Saville Cup. After a fast, interesting game, Hawke's Bay won by sevengoah to three. The game was well contested, the players all putting in good work on good horses. Tho teams were:—Hawkes Bay—l. Lyons, O. Nelson, F. McKenzio, and W. McKenzio. Poverty Bay—P. Sherratt, G. Reynolds, It. Sherratt, and J. R. Murphy. The game practically decides the destination of the Saville Cup. Paroora then met Hawke's Bay B. The formoi proved very much ahead of their opponents, and won by 13 to 1. tho score not being altogothdr atiy ; indici tiou of tho piny, which at times was very even and fast.
