GREAT RISE IN PRICE PREDICTED.

Australian ami N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK, March 11. Delegates at tho National Petroleum Congress, Chicago, predicted that tho price of petrol in tho United States will probably rise to 33 cents a gallon in 1920, and possibly to fifty cents in 1921. They pointed out that in 1915 there were 2,500,000 automobiles in, the United States, and the crude oil production of 281 million barrels cost 58 cents a barrel, while there were 7,400,000 automobiles in 1919, and the crude oil production of 370 millions of barrels cost 223 cents a barrel. Crude oil to-day was costing 330 cents a barrel.
