Ono of tho largest lots of stud sheop comprising English Leicester. 1 ?, Southdowns, Ryclands, and Shropshire, over submitted for sale hy one breeder was held on the showgrounds to-day, when I. Andrews’s flock were sold. There was a representative attendance of sheep-breeders and competition for various lots were fairly keen. English Leicester stud rams up to seven guineas, hut a large number were pass - in as the -buyers present were buying largely for stud purposes. Tho Ryelands offered sold well, a pen of flock owes, making 15 pruiueas, but down flock ewes, both Shropshire and Southdown, were hard to quit.
