SOMNAMBULIST'S FALL
THROUGH HOTEL WINDOW. HIS CONDITION CRITICAL. A distressing and somewhat unusual accident befell a man named Thomas Robertson last evening, as a result or which he received injuries under which at an early hour this morning he was reported by tho public hospital authorities to bo lying in a critical condition. ■ 1 It appears that Robertson, a single man, twenty-nine years of age, was staying at the Alhambra Hotel in Cuba street, and that ho retired to bed at a fairly early hour. Shortly after half-past 9, apparently as a result of somnambulism, hb fell from a window nt the hack of the hotel, and sustained severe injuries to his head. He was removed to tho hospital, being admitted at about 11 p.m., and on examination it was found his head had been split open. The latest report from ‘ the hospital authorities shortly before tho “Times” went to| press was that his condition wag very serious.
