ESCAPE FROM GAOL
per press association. WANGANUI. February 24. A man named Oscar Strangobyo escaped from tho gaol by scaling a wall this morning. A vigorous search was prosecuted, but it was unsuccessful, btrangebyo was under remand on. a charge of breaking, .entering, and thott at Wanganui, and w’as to have appeared before tho magistrate to-m.orrow. JJ.G was arrested, at Auckland for similar offences, whore he was recently sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and declared an habitual cximnial.
