HANNAH'S LTD.
THE ANNUAL PICNICi : The annua] picnic of the employees of Hannah's Ltd., was held at (Maidstone Park, Upper .Hutt, in, glorious weather, and proved a great success, Mr W. Denby, the factory manager, with some of the staff, working in conjunction with the employees' committee. Mr Cruiekshanks acted in the capacity of secretary. There were 200 people present. The following are the results of the sports events: —Men's sack race: Longhurst 1 I-attimer 2. Indies' race: Miss Toff 1." Miss Higgins 2, Miss Collins 3. Tug-of-war (challenge shield): Bottom Stock department team. Old Timers* race: Mills 1, Kyte 2, Farrell 3. Ladies' race (special): Miss Toff 1, Miss Malin 2-, Miss Edlin 3. Men's three-legged race: Dennig r.nd Bailey 1, £>enby and Lattimer 2. Apprentices' race: Longhurst 1, Pra.tt 2, Howifcfc 3. Ladies' three-legged race: Misses Toff and Collins 1, Misses Hebbit and Ho<lge 2. Ladies' nomination' race: Miss McKinloy 1, Miss Howifct 2, Miss Hill 3. Skipping race: E. Payne 1, Carter 2. 100yds handicap: Ryan 1, McKinley 2. Howitt 3. Committeemen's raco (prize donated h- Hannah's, Ltd.) : Cruiekshanks 1. Upliam 2, Kyte 3. Several races for the children were run under tho direction of Miss Bates and Mr Kyte. ,
