OUTBREAK IN OTAGO. The follorcring cases of influenza were reported between noon February 2nd and noon February 6th:—
CASE ON STEAMER JOHN WATERSIDERS REFUSE TO "WORK SHIP. 'VWO REPORTED AS SERIOUS. TER PKESB ASSOCIATION. WANGAJNTOC, February .6. Threo rosea of influenza were removed from the coastal steamer John. Two of them aro reported to bo serious. The vessel arrived direct from Timaru yesterday. The watersides re» fuso to work the ship until ,a certificate of health is given by the port officer, and the ship has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The latter operations aro in progress, and it is expected that unless further cases develop tlio ship -will be worked to-mor-row. Six oases were reported in the town this TOiorninK, making nineteen since the beginning of the month. Only a few are classified as serious. .
