Let the bells of Christmas rinfr. maid and weezened crony. You who trod the path, of Gloom, Listen to 'the gladd'ning music Bineintr in tho face of Doom! If the post be «rcy and bitter 1 Bury it within its tomb! Testorday has had its terrors. War and Hate hare played the!f part, Shades of comrades beckon to us. How we miss a cheery heart! , "Stuff «nd nonsense I" cries the jester, •-'"Let tho merry minstrel start!" Quoth the dismal gloom, concocter, "Can it bo that man is glad When the "nst has held such terrors And a thousand hearts are sad?" Says the jester "Stroke the fiddle! Yesterday its flin™ has had."
