NEW YORK, December 14 The "New York Times" correspondent at Pekin reports that Mr. Bruce, president of the Pacific Development Corporation, in a statement said: : "We have loaned to China five and ahalf million dollars, and secured the surplus revenue on wino and tobacco. We contemplate additional loans, on condition thai' v tho Chinese Government appoints an American as Associate Inspector-General. The loan has no political significance. Wo uro only devoting our energies to develop American trade in the Orient. The Pacific Development Corporation has no connection with any international financial group. We hope to develop a market for Chinese securities in America."-
