OFFICER, As Lieutenant Frickloton stepped forward and saluted the general, he was roceived with a round of applause, which was renewed after he had rc- | ceived a handsome sword of honour from the Uroymouth Caledonian Society in recognition of his gallantry on the field ol action. In making tho presentation General Robin congratulated Lieutenant Frickloton oil his splendid record and gallant military achievements, and said ho was particularly pleased to present the recipient with the valuable sword of honour as a token of tho admiration and esteem of tho Caledonian Society of tho West Const. Tho speaker had every confidence that Lieutenant FTickleton w.ould oarry out the message conveyed—that the sword woujd not be drawn without reason nor sheathed without honour. During the afternoon tho following telegram was received bv Captain \Y. M. Bell," Group Commander:" "Please convey" congratulations from members of Grey Caledonian Society to Lieutenant Frickleton, V. 0." OTHER, PRESENTATIONS. A list of recipients of decorations won on the field of battle, for presentation that day was hanilepl to tho Press representatives. Some of the men paraded and received their decorations at the hands of the geueral, being loudly applauded as they hurried away to escape the attentions of the spec» tatorh.
