A DANGEROUS CORNER
(To itho Editor "N.Z. Times.") Sir,—Now that a fatal accident lias at last happened at Courtenay place corner perhaps the polioo will eeo that the man who is there occasionally da always in evidence to regulate traffic. Point duty at that particular intersection is quite as necessary as at other points where a man is stationed; especially during the busy portion, of tko day. But what is much more important is to stop the Tramway Department continuing its dangerous practice of "parking" tramcars at foot of Kent <torracv and top of Clyde quay. This, in itself, has become a menace to traffio and quite obstructs the view of drivers of motors and other vehicles at this intersection. Why the department has been allowed to do 'this eo Jong is a downright sin, especially in the fact of so many school children running around the junction of these streets at certain times; to say nothing about the semi-intoxicated individual who always wanders over ithoso crossings. ~,„,,, A DKIYER.
