FUTURE WARS

I PART OF AIRCRAFT CHARACTERISTIC ARTICLE BY LORD FISHER. By JTelesrapk—Press Association—Oopyrieiit Published in. "'TUo Timoa." (Received November 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. November 6. Lord Fisher, writes: "By land and sea we are approaching prodigious aircraft development, which knocks out the present fleet, makes invasion practicable, cancels England being an island and transforms the atmosphere into the battleground of the future. As the locusts swarm in Egypt so will aireUaft swarm in the heavens carrying an inconceivable cargo of men and bomtw — some acting as battle-cruisers and others as destroyers. All are cheap, requiring only a few men as a crew. No one's imagination can yet depict it. We've a star guiding us if wo only follow it. I say to the Premier that the only thing to do with the ostriches who are spending millions on what "will be useful in tho next war as bows and arrows is to sack the lot."
