LONDON, July 5. In the- semi-final in the Wimbledon tourney Lvcett and Heats beat Fisher and Ritchie, 12—10, B—6, 6—3. Mdlle. Lenglcu beat Mrs Lambert Chambers in the Challenge round, 10—8, '4—6, D—7. Mrs Chambers .was within a stroke of retaining the championship in the third set. There was immense excitement when the French girl became the victor. This is tho first time in five vears that Mdlle. Lenglen has lost a scf in single matches.
