DAIRYING ON HAURAKI PLAINS
BAPID G-KOWTH OF OUTPUT. Press Association. THAMES. February 20. At the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce. Mr Mills, director of the Hauraki Plains Dairy Company, stated that his company started three years bock with nine suppliers. Last year's output was valued at .£16,340; this year it would be over JEIO.OOO. He believed the dairy output of the Hauraki Plains would reach an annual value of jeSSO.OOO verv soon. Afr Rhodes, M.P., said there were 60,000 acres of idle Crown land on tho plains. Half of this could be brought into use in two years under an energetic policy.
