* : RAID ON CHINESE PREMISES. Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 30. The police on Sunday afternoon raided Chinese premises in Wakefield street, alleged to have been used as a gaming bouse. They arrested 41 Chinamen, and seized a. large quantity of coins used in play, marked pakapoo tickets, and a complete plant fof running a pakapoo lottery. The arrested men had .£362 in their possession, one man having £lO2, and another £SG. In the. Police Court, Fong L*n, convicted of keeping the gaming bouse, was fined £IOO. Wong Tim, for assisting, was similarly fined.
