A French communique states: This morning the attack was resumed at 5.30 o'clock. We captured the village of Somepy, and carried the heights northward of Fontaino-en-Dormois. Wo have taken more prisoners and guns. The battle continues. Between the Ailctto and the Aisue the pressure of our troops and vigorous local operations north-eastwards of Saucy gave us ground and 250 prisoners, 'including 40 officers. A counter-attack northward of Allemant completely failed. Further southward we penetrated the ravine item Jouy to Aizy, and occupied these two villages. OERSV3AN ADMISSIONS (Received September SO, 1.15 a.m.) LONDON, September 23. A wireless German official report states: —Sixteen English and Canadian divisions attacked us astride and between the Arras-Cambrai and PeronneCambrai roads. The enemy advanced towards Bourlon and Flesquieres. Ho extended these breaches and pressed ns back northward of the Arras-Cam-brai road' as far Us the MisqlovergerHayneconrt line. We repulsed strong Anglo-American attacks between Epeiiy and Bclliconrt, driving back the enemy beyond his starting point. At Lcmpiero the French gained a little ground between the buippo and the Aisne, eastward of the Argonne, and American attacks were brought to a standstill southward of the AprcmontCierges line. We evacuated Montvaucon, in view of its threatened encirclement. CAMPAIGN (Received September 80, 1.15 a.m.) LONDON, September 28. A Bulgarian communique dated September 28th states that the Bulgarian units westward of the Vardar continue the movement northward, according to plan. A Greek communique states that the Greeks reached the Doles ridge and occupied the road, debouching therefrom to northward of Lake Doirau. A British official message states that the Salonika advance continues. The Greeks are pushing eastwards of the Anglo-Belachitsa range. The AngloGreoks are moving on Petrie, along the Strumnitza Valley.
