KILLED BY A TRAMCAR
' Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 28. Mrs Virginia Smith, aged 35, wife of a soldier on "active service, was crossing Victoria street last night when she was struck by a train and dragged twenty -yards down a hill. She was dreadfully mutilated and was killed, probably instantly.
