This morning a man who had gone to the breakwater for the purpose of fishing found the body of a man in the surf at the foot of the breakwater. Papers on the deceased boro the‘name of D. M. Anderson, and the body was identified as that of a .former resident of Dunedin. A boat pass issued by th« Onion Company (probably at Auckland) for the Arahura and dated September 20th, was ' also found. The body was fully dressed.’ the usual -clothing being covered hv a fawn coloured motor coat. There were no marks on the-body, which, it is thought, was in the water only a few hours.
