EARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION
Colonel Hughes, D. 5.0., will addres a meeting of the Early Settlers' and Historical Association on Monday nexi and tell the members how the childrei. and grandchildren fared on the Peninsula (Gallipoli). It seoms quite fittinji that thoy should hoar what the descendants of those grand old pioneers din in the cause of freedom on behalf oi the Empire. The same dauntless courage that enabled the pioneers to "make good" in this country carried our "boys" through at the time of which Colonel Hughes is going to speak. The meeting is to be held at Godber'fc Rooms, Courtenay place, on Monday next, at 8 p m.
