A meeting of'representatives of various tramways proprietors in the South Island was held to-day to consider matters connected with working conditions of tramway men. The representations made to the Minister for Labour hy the transport . workers were considered and it was agreed that representatives from the various tramway,- proprietories should waif oh tho Minister as a deputation and supply him with all information he desired on working conditions in tho South Island.
