MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last evening. The Mayor (Mr F. Townsend) presided, there being also present—Councillors Green, Tracy, and Eobertshaw. Mr Boon, representing the Fire Brigade, acting onthe instructions of i bat body, asked that three delegates from the council bo appointed to meet three members, of .the, brigade, for the purpose of , removing,. some grievances that exist. Bodpath and Sons wrote stating that since tho recent frosts in the South Island had cracked thousands of tiles during the process of baking, the supply .. which the . council had ordered would not be available at present. - ..The report of the engineer stating that it was unnecessary to include the ammonia and oxygen cylinders in the list of, dangerous- goods was ’ adopted.
