DIFFICULTY IX DISPOSING OF SURPLUS. By Telegraph—Press .Association— Copyright (Received August 29, 9.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE, August 20. Mr Watt, Acting-Federal Premier, conferred with the Wheat Board, and urged the necessity for the disposal of surplus wheat evpn at a lower price than the farmers considered reasonable. The present overdraft on wheat; was, £14,000,000. -Attempts to sell the two years’ surplus had proved unsuccessful.
