(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Wednesday. Mr Jack Field, whoso son has been. a prisoner of war in Germany since April last, has received no notification' from him.
Mr H. II- Elder, who has been in a private hospital in Wellington for some time, has recovered sufficiently to return to his home at Waikanae. A hall, to accommodate a, large number of people is being ‘ built at Waikanae,
Now potatoes are being dug in Olaki. They are well grown, of good sire, and excellent flavour.,
Mr M. Fisher,, of Waikanae. is qn inmate of the Otaki Hospital. Mr J- Singer has purchased Mr Lawry’s farm at Te Hero. Miss Diaper, who has boon on sick leave from the Te Horo Post Office for the past two months, returns to her duties next week.
