Mr S. E. McCarthy, S.M., hoard an action at. the Magistrate’s Court yesterday in which William Hart, clerk, proceeded against William Alfred'Mowbray, merchant, to recover the sum of £l4 16s 6d as damages arising out of a collision between a motor-cycle, ridden by plaintiff, and a motor-car driven by a servant of the defendant’s. On December 22nd the. plaintiff was riding along Manners street when ho van into a motor-car which was coming out of a lane at the side of the Grand Opera House. Negligent driving was attributed to the driver of the motor-car. After part of the case for the defence had boon heard, further hearing was adjourned till 9.30 o’clock this morning.
