Essentially a cricket ground, the Baein Reserve requires a considerable amount of attention, and the, work of top-dressing this year , will provent .the playing of football on the ground. Ain arrangement has been arrived at between tho council and the Woffington Cricket Association whereby the council is to arrange for tho purchase of 100 loads of soil, which, together with grass-cecd, lime, and labour will cost approximately £IOO. _ The Wellington" Cricket Association is to contribute £3O towards the work.' This expenditure will include tho cost of construction of a’ special wickot composed of a puggy soil obtained from tho town holt reserve opposite Wakefield Park.
