APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS OF OFFICERS ON HOME SERVICE. The following appointment, promotions and retirements of the following officers of the Territorial Force have received upproval : APPOINTMENT Captain (temporary major) A. S. Herbert, M. 8., M.R.C.S.. Ens-, New Zealand Medical Corps, is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel, whilst employed as principal medical officer. King George Hospital, Rotorua. PROMOTIONS AND RETIREMENTS Ist MOUNTED RIFLES (CANTERBUEV YEOMANRY CAVALRY). Captain (quartermaster) J. A. Northcoto retires., and is granted the honorary rank of major. sth (AVELLINGTON REGIMENT. (Reserve of Officers.) Major W. G. Wray. M.C., is struck ofi the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed with his original rank •as captain. 10th (NORTH OTAGO) EEGIMENT. Second- Lieutenant H. Mclntyre is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absoroed into the regiment with his original rank and seniority therein as secondlieutenant. 12th (NELSON AND MARLBOROUGH) REGIMENT. (Reserve of Officers.) Captain G. Lewis is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and is absorbed with his original > rank as lieutenant. NEW ZEALAND RIFLE BRIGADE. Lieutenant C. E. Bridge is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary I'brce. and is absorbed into the regiment, Avith his original rank and seniority therein as second-lieutenant.
