LAKE ERIE RAILWAY WORKS
IMMENSE DESTRUCTION BY FIRE.
(Received April 26, 10.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 25
Three fires occurred at the Erie western railway shops, and practjicaßy. destroyed £IOO,OOO worth of plant, also fourteen locomotives ; urgently needed for • troop trains. It is stated that the hose was cut, destroying the water pressure on the lire engines. A man hag been arrested.
