RED JERSEY APPEAL
DADDY’S MARKET RESUMES,
, The continuous Paddy's Market, which js to bo run by the Bed Jersey Appeal Committee, will .bo opened to-day in Mr H. ' 11. Bennett's, shop in Willis street, formerly used by the Y.M.C.A. committee. A feature of the enterprise will be ■the novel window attractions. These are being designed on original lines and are bound to atract attention. The goods to be offered are of a varied character, and fresh stocks wilj be listed every day. All sympathisers with this movement to raise funds for the benefit of New Zealand soldiers aro invited to send in donations in kind—and kind of a saleable nature will be • gratefully received. All proceeds are for the soldiers.
ORGANISING BADGE-SELLING,
A meeting of ladies is being called by the Mayoress for Monday next at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of organising for the sale of badges and to assist the Hod Jersey Appeal in other wayys. The mooting will be hoid in the Council Chamber of, the Town Hall, and as the money to be collected is to bo devoted solely to war-work for the soldiers, it is expected that there will be a good response to the invitation. Tho badges to be sold aro the red and blue exemption badges, in connection with the red and blue artillery battle which will begin, next week.
