PROTESTANT POLITICAL ASSOCIATION
About fifty delegates are attending the first Dominion conference of tho Protestant political Association, which opened a.t the Foresters' Hall, Lanibton quay, yesterday. The delegates wero welcomed by the presidont (Mr Alex. Donald), who referred' to the inception of tho movement and the important issues for consideration. Special commit toes yrere set up to report this morning on matters arising out of the agenda. / ,; The conference made arrangements to wait upon the Minister for Justice and the Minister for Education in reforonee to raj-ious matters, the results of which are reported elsewhere. The report of the Dominion/ secretary and tho audlited balance-sheet were adopted. Motions recognising the service j»ondored to tho association by its Ictml advisor, Mr H. H. Ostler, and Mr H. H. Soabrbok, of Auckland, were passed. A motion sympathising with tho relatives of the late Mr W. Richardson, of Auckland, in the decease of a worker who had rendered' conspicuous-ser-vice in the interests of Protestantism, was passed.
